Home Theatre and Residential Cinema

Millson designs and hand crafts residential cinema systems that range in scope from the very modest, to built-in "Media Room" systems, to elaborate and dedicated spaces that rival the finest private screening rooms on the continent. Millson coordinates every detail of our Distributed Music Systems with the architect, interior designer and builder to ensure seamless integration of the entire system with your homes’ decor. A wide variety of speaker types and system performance levels are available to suite virtually any space or client preference.

Lighting Control

Well designed lighting is a fundamental aspect of successful interior design. Fixture selection and placement are important, but adding the ability to silently and smoothly adjust lighting levels at the touch of a button enhances comfort and convenience, saves energy and adds a touch of luxury to any space. Whether you’re reading the morning paper, preparing dinner, watching television or retiring for the evening, you can easily create the perfect lighting levels for any activity all at the touch of a button.

Window Treatments

Millson offers a wide variety of automated window treatments for just about any application. Solutions are available to help create the perfect lighting for any space or activity. The Millson control system can even activate the appropriate window coverings automatically, based on the time of day or position of the sun. A full selection of fabric transparencies is available including sheer, dim-out, and full blackout solutions. All Millson window treatment solutions are custom-manufactured for each project, operate with ultra-quiet low-voltage drive motors and are available in just about any fabric or material you can imagine.

Climate Control

At Millson, we believe that adjusting the temperature in your home should not require an advanced degree in Thermostat programming. Our systems can be configured to include simple, intuitive control of the temperature throughout your home from the same wall mounted TouchPanels used to control all other systems.

Millson has been designing and delivering world-class security solutions for our discerning clients for over 20 years. We design state-of-the-art protection systems that secure your home against would-be intruders and monitor critical systems 24 hours a day. We design complete solutions for access control, High Definition video surveillance and recording and more.

Custom Solutions

Millson designs and delivers the finest residential technology systems available and this can include custom manufactured solutions to meet specific project requirements. The Milson Team includes individuals with the deep knowledge and experience in Engineering, Manufacturing and Fabrication, allowing us to design and deliver custom solutions for challenges of all types.

Our Process

Discover

Every project begins by listening carefully to our client's needs, and establishing a clear picture of what is desired. We use this time to explore options and possibilities and to clearly define the goals and expectations for the project.

Design

We take design very seriously and look for ways to make technology seamless and even invisible. We generate highly details computer aided design (CAD) drawing sets to capture and communicate every detail of the systems we provide. Elevation details are also documented, allowing for precise coordination with other trades.

Build

During the build phase, quality control is paramount. We hand make each broadcast-quality cable and connection to ensure the best picture and sound possible. Military-grade power protection is included to protect the high-end electronics in the custom equipment racks we assemble for every system we build.

Program

Integrating electronic systems requires extensive programming knowledge and expertise. Our highly skilled team takes great care to ensure that all systems operate predictably and reliably together, while providing a user interface that is simple and easy to use every time.

Test

This is a key phase of our process and a foundational element of what sets us apart from others in our industry. Every system undergoes rigorous testing and retesting prior to delivery. To ensure accountability our technicians proudly sign their names on every system we deliver.

Install

Our installations are on time, on budget and work as promised. We do it once and we do it right. After final installation, the client receives complete training on system operation, although due to our extreme focus on simple, intuitive system design, this phase is almost redundant. Finally, we're confident enough in our proven process to offer a full 3-year warranty.
